Mr.Brown, has an extensive background in the natural gas industry, including experience in marketing, rates, regulatory, operating and administrative matters. He served in various management positions with Mississippi River Transmission Corporation from 1955 to 1975, when he joined United Gas Pipe Line Company as Senior Vice President of Rates and Regulatory Affairs. In 1978, Mr. Brown was elected President, Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of United Gas Pipe Line Company. He served in that capacity until the end of 1985.

Mr.Brown received an undergraduate degree in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and a Juris Doctor from the St. Louis University School of Law.
